Israel played a major role in production of Bromine, magnesium metal, phosphate rock and potash  in 2000. In 2009 Israel‘s mining sector contributed to 0.9% of the country’s GDP. Metals found in Israel are copper and magnesium. Minerals are Bromine, Diamond, Phosphate rock, Potash and sulfur. Potash production is predicted to increase in the period of 2014 to 2014 due to ICL expansion.
