Palestine
Mineral resources in Palestine are not heavily exploited. Bituininous limestone is found in Jordan valley. In the dead sea traces of bromide, potassium and magnesium salts are found. Other minerals including phosphate deposits and copper are said to be found in the south of the dead sea and mountains in the east of Wadi Araba. Exploration of these has not yet been made official as the country is still compiling legislation of mining activities.
